Increasing Teacher Efficacy with Blended Learning
Guest User
The pandemic has made 2020 feel like a never-ending and not-so-fun roller coaster ride for teachers and school leaders.
It also has forced us to seriously re-think teaching and learning, especially taking a second look at pedagogical practices previously thought to be futuristic. One of those practices is blended learning.
The Modern Classrooms Project is a nonprofit that provides educators with the tools to meet every student's needs through blended, self-paced, mastery-based instruction. They offer a free online course that has empowered over 20,000 educators across the globe and partner with schools and districts to train cohorts of educators nationwide. Their research-based practices can improve both teacher and student experiences, across all grades/subject areas, both in-person and remotely.
The crux of the program is teaching teachers how to effectively facilitate asynchronous learning through self-created instructional videos, leaving time for one-on-one support during in-person or online learning sessions.
We encourage you to explore their work as one promising way to meet students’ needs while increasing your teachers’ sense of efficacy. You can also check-out and share this informational slide deck.
