Taking Stock of Accomplishments

As the year comes to an end, it is important now more than ever to take stock in all that you have accomplished during this unprecedented time. During the pandemic, we may have found ourselves as leaders thinking of all the things that weren’t happening as we wanted them to or worrying about our staff and students and how best to support them. Before the new year, take some time to celebrate all of things you did to make this very difficult time better for those you serve. Conquering remote staff meetings, professional development, and walkthroughs are just a few of the things that are now probably second nature to you. Putting your students’ and staff’s well-being first as you began this journey speaks to your leadership. A year ago, we never would have dreamt what was ahead of us. Make sure you take some time for yourself to realize a job well done in an extremely difficult time.
