Supporting Teacher Assessment Practices to Accelerate Learning

Guest User

Welcome back to our Leading Accelerated Learning series! Today’s post is edition #2 of our five-part series.

Research has shown that one of the best ways to improve outcomes for struggling students effectively and quickly is sound assessment practices. To accelerate learning prior to each new unit, teachers need pre-assessments that help them know how prepared each student is for new grade level learning. Furthermore, teachers need ongoing, embedded formative assessments throughout new learning to gauge each student’s progress with grade-level content.

Check out this infographic with six steps leaders can take to support teachers with the essential skill of assessment as they implement acceleration.
