Incorporating Technology into the Classroom

Guest User

Remember, when you start incorporating technology, don’t force yourself to change everything you do. Instead, use it to build on what you already do well. For example: Use blogging to teach writing. As long as you insist on students’ accountability for their grammar, spelling, and style, writing in short bursts on a blog is sure to improve their literacy skills.

Adding technology into your classroom can be an exciting and overwhelming activity. The best advice we can offer is taken from the article The Basics of Blended Instruction by Catlin R Tucker (http://www.ascd.org/publications/educational-leadership/mar13/vol70/num06/The-Basics-of-Blended-Instruction.aspx).
She says, “When you first attempt to weave traditional and technology into a practical, durable education fabric, take small steps.”
