Voter Information
Dear Voters,
This election, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, your ballot includes a school district Maintenance and Operations (M&O) override and district site sale/lease/exchange measure. These items are placed on the ballot by your locally elected school district governing board, ensuring that voters decide for themselves how local tax dollars are invested to meet district needs.
A “M&O” override temporarily allows your district to exceed its budget authority up to 15% to provide additional funding for a district’s maintenance and operations budget. M&O overrides expire after a set period, and it is up to the voters to decide whether to renew the tax.
A site sale, lease, or exchange is a request by the district to sell off, lease or exchange unused or excess property and use the proceeds to pay outstanding bonds, lower your secondary tax rate, and/or fund capital expenses. If approved, it doesn’t guarantee that the sale/lease or exchange will take place but leaves that discretion and decision up to the district’s governing board.
This pamphlet is designed to provide you with clear information so that you can make an informed decision. Each district’s needs are different, and it is important to review the details of any proposal carefully and consider its impact on both students and taxpayers.

BALLOT MEASURE DETAILS:
Maintenance and Operations Override
A maintenance and operations (M&O) override allows a district to temporarily exceed its budget authority by no more than 15% for a time period of seven years. The district must seek the approval of its voters before implementing the override.
The district’s current M&O budget is $120,470,874.

Site Sale
This ballot measure is a request by the school district to sell off, lease, or exchange unused property and use the proceeds to pay outstanding bonds, lower your secondary tax rate, and/or fund capital expenses. If approved, the district governing board will have the discretion to sell, lease, or exchange certain real property owned by the district with no additional tax impact to the community.
HOW TO ESTIMATE YOUR ANNUAL TAX COST:
Go to the Maricopa County Assessor website at mcassessor.maricopa.gov.
Click in the search box and enter your address.
In the search results, click on the APN number. Confirm the correct address in the results.
Scroll down to “Valuation Information” and find your tax year 2026 and the “Assessed LPV” number.
Divide that number by 100.
Multiply the result by the tax rate.
The result is the estimated tax liability on your property for that year.
